Plastic Packaging Tax

Hi All,

Some of you may be aware of the plastic packaging tax rules coming into force across Europe. These are already part of UK legislation, but will also soon affect EU nations. 

The principle is the same across the board, businesses must be prepared to report on the level of plastic packaging they import & export out of their country and will pay a fee on the packaging which contains a high percentage of non-recycled plastic. Is there any standard functionality to address this in D365 or is anyone currently calculating this based on a workaround? Would be good if anyone knew of some MS developments on the subject.

    These kinds of taxes are common across most EU countries. 

    Some of them are hard to implement in D365 . 
    In some EU countries there is a recycling direct tax, every time you buy tyres, batteries, etc. Since it's a tax value per unit it's easy to setup on D365.
    When dealing with % of output products and weight of plastic when those items are managed in D365  with quantities, it's more complex to deal with. 
    These taxes that are business sensitive, most of them are implemented using some kind of custom report.
