    Hi Michael,

    Thanks for sharing solution !

It seems that cotent-id works with back-end code.

So please check developer guide that whether there is API to access email marketing sending process.

    Regards,

    Clofly

RE: Howto embed images in marketing emails

    Hi Michael,

Source of all images are from external website or hosted on your Dynamics for Marketing server.

Actually my previous demo email template is follonica by system defauilt, all images are system integrated(hosted on azureedge.net, and you'll find your uploaded image files also hosted in this domain),

and they still be blocked by Outlook.

So in my opnion, it may not works.

But I would like to try the method you mentioned if you could share me more details about what CID is.

    Regards,

    Clofly

Ok, thanks! Do you plan to implement attachments and embedding images via CID (Content-ID) or is this a no-go?

    Thanks!

RE: Howto embed images in marketing emails

    Hi Michael,

Actually when we editing a Marketing email, it could be thought as editing a HTML web page, unlike general email writing and sending.

The marketing email sending action is processed by system(in a live Customer Journey), so we can't add "attachment" to it as we normally did in email unfortunately.

My suggestion is you could add a notification text on your marketing email, such as "If you can't see images, please click View this email in your browser link link at upper right corner.".

All system templates have embed this link due to this reason.

Or you could let your contacts add your sending domain to Safe Senders List. to unblock images.

RE: Howto embed images in marketing emails

Hi, thanks for your fast answer! Ok, sorry for my wrong wording, what i meant was the possibility to embed an image into an email so that the image has not to be downloaded from an external url. Many email-browsers block downloading external images by default, so what i want to achieve is, that at least the company logo is shown correctly. That means, the company logo has to be delivered with the email (e.g. as an attachement). Is this possible with Dynamics for Marketing?

    Thanks!

RE: Howto embed images in marketing emails

    Hi Michael,

The way to add an image in marketing email is by selecting Image tile in Design elements.

    3302.png

Then you can add your image to any specific place (only "blue+" place supported)

Be aware of that the native added image is block level element, which means it will be full column element, as those 3 spaces around ALL NEW text element in part1,

either for when you designing a new blank template/emails by yourself.

So why can we add image less than a full column likes spaces in part2? Because they were pre-designed by Dynamics.

You could use system template and replace existed elements with your own.

For current template as example, you can select default logo and click Image gallery icon.

simply choose image you want, don't worry about its original size, the image will be adaptive automatically to fit element box.

If your "embed image"  means an image with text likes below,

unfortunately there is no OOB method to achieve this. As you design a modern email template likes system, both of these requirements need HTML editing.
