Error in production order (AX-2012)

We are facing a unique problem in our production module

during production we are using one raw material for one finish goods, but the production order consume double raw material for producing one finish good.

For Example:

                                                         unit

raw material                                    100

production order for finish good   100

now on hand inventory of finish goods should be show balance "0" but showing "-100"

its mean the process of production order for finish good consuming double unit

but if we check the transaction of said unit in onhand inventory, we see actual 100 in +ve

please resolve the problem if you can

    I don't understand your issue with the above description. Can you explain more in detail and probably include some print screens with quantities and amounts?

    Hi Rana,

    When I look at the pictures, I assume you have opened the Transactions from the OnHand form. I can't see all inventory dimensions, but normally it shoud show the transactions related to the criteria as specified at the OnHand.

    This situation looks very weird. You can try to run a consistency check which can be found under System administration, Periodic, Database. Select module Inventory and run it first with the option Check. It could tell you if there is any inconsistenct between the inventory transactions and the inventory summaration (OnHand).

    A second run can be done and then select Fix in the field Select/Fix.

    If this doesn't help, there could be something wrong in the inventory transactions, but that would require investigation in the database to find what is wrong.

    If it does help, it could be related to a program failure. In this case you should be able to reproduce the error. Then you can open an incident at Microsoft Support or contact your partner.

    I suggest if the production order is consuming double you look at your production settings on the order. As a simple example what is your picking method on start and finish? If you tell AX to consume stock in both it will. Please describe your process settings for the consumption of the raw material - whether you auto-flush stock and when, or if it is manual.

    Have a look at the picking list journals under the order - are there 2?

    Please post responses here for future posters so see the answer rather than conduct a conversation over messages.

    You posted an image that was only START and had you using the flushing principle - which means you need to check the flushing principle of the item on the BOM and on the item. You should however know if material "should" be consumed at the start of the finish.

    You did not end mark picking in the parameter, leaving you open to pick more and double pick.

    You did not send the screen shot of the RAF parameter - I suggest you post that one here :-)
