Leave approval workflow

Hi, a client would like the HR Manager to submit leave requests on behalf of workers.  However, they want the approval workflow to go through the worker's line manager route and not that of the HR Manager who has submitted the request.  I cannot see how I can set this up in a workflow with the options available, (Participant, Hierarchy, Workflow User or User).  Does anyone have any suggestions how a workflow can be configured in this way so that the workflow picks up the worker and sends the workflow down their line manager route? Thanks

    Do you have the screenshot for the condition of the condition decision and also the approve review or final review?

    If so, could you please share them as well?

    Hi Mphazima, many thanks for getting in touch.  

    I've not created the workflow yet.  The existing Leave workflow has a condition to check if the number of days being requested: under 10 days, the approval request goes to the worker's line manager, over and it goes to the line manager and then onto the HR Manager and HR Director.

    I can easily put another condition in to identify if it is the HR Manager that is submitting the request on behalf of the worker but I don't think I have an option in the workflow element's step to keep the approval request to still go to the worker's line manager and not the line manager of the HR Manager who is submitting the leave request on behalf of that worker.  Many thanks

    Hi Michal, thank you for getting in touch.  I'm using the Leave and absence request workflow and all is working nicely.  It checks to see the number of days leave requested: if under 10 days then it goes to the requester's line manager and if over 10 days, the request goes to the worker's line manager, then the HR Manager and then the HR Director:

    Now the client would like another condition where if the HR Manager requests the leave on behalf of the worker, then it should still follow this workflow track, still based on the worker and not the HR Manager who has submitted the request on behalf of the worker.  I don't think it is possible but was interested to see if anyone had an ideas.
