    Raul,

Yes this is possible using the Import Wizard.

    According to Microsoft articles:

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg328321.aspx

" You can import data into standard and customized attributes of most business and custom entities. You can also include related data, such as notes and attachments"

    Example here:

    community.dynamics.com/.../import-attachments-using-oob-import-wizard-in-dynamics-crm-2011.aspx

    amllpdynamics.blogspot.com/.../importing-attachments-with-notes-in-microsoft-crm.html

The thing you need to do is to link the Note to the Lead through the Regarding field and then set the lookup field....

To the Lead Id, map the regarding field (a lookup field) to the Lead Id (The difficulty here is to resolve the lookup field, if this is possible your Lead has the Unique ID, like Lead Number, otherwise you need to link to the Lead Guid..

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Raul,

Yes, you can import notes to Lead using CRM import tool.

    Here are details..

    8358.notes2.PNG

When you are importing notes.. you need to add lead name or something unique in that lead.. so that you will setup lookup properly in import wizard.

Create your notes csv /text/ xml file with lead name or unique lead id.

    Import file using import wizard

    4353.notes3.PNG

    Do proper mapping

    notes4.PNG

    Done..

I attached upto 100 notes to lead..

Only limitation of CRM import is import file size.. CRM supports upto 8 MB of csv/text/xml file.. if you load zip file then upto 32 MB you can import.

Hope this will help to solve your problem..

    Thanks guys!

This "regarding" field (to link the note to the lead) has to be the name of the lead, or the e-mail or what should I put there, I'm still confused about that?

    Thanks!

Yes you can do it by import feauture:

    Step 1: Import all leads

Step 2: Create a new CSV for Notes- Add columns: Title + Description + Regarding

Step 3: In the Regarding field paste the name of the leads

    Step 4: Import Notes.csv

Regarding field..you can put anything is unique for lead..like name, email,id etc or you can select multiple fields also To set regarding

    Raul,

Regarding is not always referring to the Name of the Lead.

Because somehow your Lead Name is not unique will cause another problem (Duplicate lookup found) then you can use Email or another Id.

    Thank you.
