SmartList Designer in "Customers" Advanced Lookup

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi:

In SmartList Designer, I created a simple SQL view pulling in master data from RM00101 and E-Mail addresses from SY01200.  The SmartList, indeed, does display data accurately.

But, when I go to GP's "Customers" advanced lookup window and choose this SmartList favorite, it does not give me the option of adding a column or even "sorting" by e-mail addresses.

The end user was hoping to use this SmartList to be able to restrict the Customers lookup for customer statements by only those customers who have e-mail addresses.

That way, upon trying to e-mail Word Template statements by pressing the "E-Mail" button, GP would only try to send out statements for those customers that actually have e-mail addresses in the Internet Information window.

I guess the Advanced Lookup, again, cannot accommodate the idea of adding columns from SmartList Designer.

Is there any other way of restricting the lookup on those customers who have e-mail addresses upon sending out statements?

Thanks!

John

You can not do it through Advanced Lookup, but yes with dexterity customization it can be done.
