How to release physical reserved

Hi Rudy,

Do you mean remove the reservation or a release to the warehouse? If it is release to warehouse which version of AX 2012 are you using and which WMS feature are you using then (WMS II or the new WMS R3)?

Hi,

I'm using 2012R2 CU7.

There is a lot of transaction like picking list,quarantine order which have reserved physical.

When i go to inventory transaction--> reservation, i can not edit the reservation.

Do you know why?

Hi Rudi,

When you created a picking list you need to finish it by providing the picked quantities or cancel it. A pending picklist is a notification to the warehouse to pick the items. Telling the warehouse pick the goods and at the same time cancel a reservation is conflicting, so this is blocked.

When you have an active quarantine order, the goods need to be released to the normal warehouse before you can sell the goods. With a quarantine order there are 4 transactions:

Warehouse deduction

Quarantine increase

for transfer from the warehouse to quarantine warehouse and

Quarantine deduction

Warehouse increase

for releasing the goods from quarantine to the warehouse.

The reservation between these sets of transactions cannot be edited.

Hi andre,

How about picking list journal in production.

When the production are estimate/release. The item has been reserved. How to release the reserved item if i don't want to pick them in production ?

Is it post them in picking list journal production with zero qty then end mark the picking list ?

You will not have created the pick at that stage. In your production parameters you have defined the stage to reserve stock at for production - the point being you might not want to start production without everything there, you should be able to release the reservation from the reservation screen in the reserved quantity box by resetting this.

Go to the BOM of the production order. Stock button and reservation. Blank out the reservation quantity at the end.

Hi Steven

I have a similar issue. Scenario I created 5 x Production Work orders, and Pickling list for part abc are to be generated at Operation#100.

So first PWO reaches Operation 100 when i tried to pick, i do not have qty. my material has been reserved for the 4 other PWO which i havent reach operation 100 yet.

Is there some kind of setting that automatic reserve pickling list once we schedule? I need to disable that.

I guest that you are asking 2 this functions:

1. Cancel deliver remainder. =>General - Line Quantity - Update Line - Deliver Remainder. Set as 0 is cancel

2. Adjust Reserved Qty. =>General - Line Quantity - Update Line - Deliver Remainder. set adjust qty you want.
