Account Type in Main Account Category versus Type in Main Account

Hi,

I am a newbie to AX.  Is there actually a difference between Type in Main Account versus Account Type in Main Account Category? 

Where are the definition kept in the tables?  I've been trying to search throughout the AX db but I couldn't find it.

    Main account types determine how a main account is used in the chart of accounts. You must select a main account type when you create a main account in the Main accounts - chart of accounts: %1 form.

    Selecting a main account type on main account category Form does not prevent you from linking the main account category to main accounts that have a different main account type.

    you link the main accounts to main account categories when you use Management Reporter for Microsoft Dynamics ERP. When you link main accounts to main account categories, you can use the default reports that are included with Management Reporter without any modifications. This can make it faster and easier to design and maintain reports. This feature is available only if cumulative update 6 or later for Management Reporter is installed.

    As per my understaing main account type on main account category Form is for reporting purpose only.

    Thank you Nitesh!  Is there a definition of Type (Main Account) in the db?  Which table is it?  I've been trying to find it.

    Main Account Type is a base Enum Type,
