How do i set up test environment inAX4.0

Hello evryone,

I am very new to AX 4.0, the company i work for want me to become a consultant on AX, i just got the Solution set-up on the server,  i need sample data, to start practising how to use most of the modules like, financial. Can anyone help on how to get sample data, and setting it up.

 

I will really appreciate this.

    If you want to set up a test environment I would recommend setting up a Virual PC. Install all the software you need in the image and deploy the test data you want to work with.

    Because you'll be in your virtual domain you can't do much harm when your training.

    Hi Sammy,

    You will get demo data for AX 4.0 (Sp1) from the AX 4.0 DVD for Standard application. If not then you can log into Partner Source and select "Suport ->Product Release -> (Here filter Your Product)" . The list will refresh & then choose "Demo Data for Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 ". And also you can get more training materials ( Installation & Configurations, Finance, etc.) from "Training & Certification -> Training Material -> (ere filter Your Product)". Hope it will helps u.. :)
