Years worth of doc attachments with 3rd party

Company has been using 3rd party for over 10 years - attachments exist for practically every voucher, journal entry, customer record/invoice, etc.  

They never used the doc attach function withing GP 

Has anyone ever left Papersave?  What happens to the attachments?  Is there some way to re-attach them to GP transactions with a program?

    I understand there is an Export function in PaperSave that can be used to export out the attachments.  I am not aware of any automation to bring them into GP Document Attach.  (I expect there is a way via SQL to do this but I expect it would be fairly problematic.)

    You may want to have the client test out exporting a little bit of data from PaperSave to see what the export looks like.

    Hi Deanne:

    To add onto this topic -- if you do choose to try and get the data into GP, the company database(es) are going to explode in growth.

    There's been other posts about Doc Attach where a company has been using it for quite a while and the databases have gotten enormous.

    There are plenty of companies out there that do this type of document management that integrate with GP, but I really wish GP had some kind of solution that would integrate with SharePoint since that is one of the reasons it was made: for document management.
