Dears

Thank u everybody for help, i am new in AX 2012 , i try to add dimensions to chart of accounts , i have read about Account structure and try to deploy the steps for but it did not work , could you please help to add dimensions to the specific COA.

Have you linked a COA Structure with Ledger?

If you can explain, how its not working, what you have done so far and what are your expectations, it would be easy to point you to right direction.

i use setup==>Chart of Accounts ===>

the option under the chart of accounts which is ( Account Structure ) not available

the Option for the Account structure is not available in the Screen

setup==>Chart of Accounts ===>Chart of Accounts

you cannot directly create COA Structure under COA

in order to create COA Structure kindly proceed to following path

General ledger >> Chart of accounts >> Configure accounts structures

Hello Abdullah,

In the form you opened you have to open the main account section first and then select "edit".

This will open the main accounts form.

Example:

In this form you need to select / switch the company for which you want to specify the financial dimensions.

Example:

You can either setup a "default" financial dimension or one that is "fixed".

Please not that fixing a financial dimension in the chart of accounts overwrites any other financial dimension setup that you make e.g. at the customer level.

If you are new to AX and have not worked with financial dimensions before I suggest that you first take a look at the financial dimensions hierarchy before trying to fix financial dimensions at the chart of accounts level.

Hi Abdullah,

If you want to link the Account structure to a Chart of Accounts this is possible only in the first editions of Dynamics AX 2012. It has been moved to the Ledger form. Path: General ledger > Setup > Ledger.

With the new approach you can share the same CoA for multiple legal entities, but have different dimensions setup.
