Are you talking about the standard inventory dimension or a custom field?

    Hi Sir Martin

I 'am planning a custom field. Anyway , i saw Variant Group >Color under Retail module. How can i use this feature?

To be honest, it sounds like a bad idea to me. Let's say that I'm trying to pick an item and its main color looks to me like R:60, G:100, B:100, but I can't find it, because somebody who created the variant thought it's rather R:50, G:100, B:100. It would likely cause many problems.

It's also not really needed in reality, at least not usually. Using your example, laptops surely aren't produced in 16 million different colors. There are just a few colors defined by the producer, therefore you want to use only those few colors that actually make sense for the given item. With things like laptops, people don't even have to guess the color - it's explicitly written on the box. Sometimes they even aren't "normal" colors, but a combination of colors ("red/white") or something fancy (e.g. "Antracite" or "Aqua").

    Hi!

I already solve the issue, i used the product dimension group to create and assign colors for each Item. I base on the this link

Great, now please close the thread by marking replies that form the solution (using Did this answer your question? > Yes).

Dimensions are indeed the right feature for defining product colors (that's why I mentioned them in my first reply), but not with a color picker (my second reply explains why not).
