Dear All,

I am creating a new Table "Material Inward" and one master form "Material Inward".
User told me that only admin will see "Material Inward" no other users.
It's depends upon admin user whom to give further access to this master form.

Please let me know how to do this.

Please give me more shed on this.

Thanks!

Arpan Sen

    Hi @rp@n,

You create role for this form!

If it is customized form or a table it will show only to a admin user, but if you want assign this form to user follow below steps,

    1. Create a privilege and drag your menu item which is tagged your form in entry point.

as well as you drag Material Inward table in Tables. set your access level as per your requirement.

    2. create  a duty and drag your privilege in to this duty.

    3. create a role and drag above privilege and duty into this role.

    Assign this role to users.

    Thanks

    Suresh

    Hi Arpan,

In AX2009 you have to provide at least a security key to the table and the menu item. In that case the menu item is not visible for users unless you add permissions.

If you have created new security keys, in some cases they aren't automatically added to the Admin user group/Admin domain. In that case you need to add it manually first.

    Hi,

We can't add security keys to a user group or admin. Security keys should defined in AOT objects (tables , menu items).

Then those object will be available in permission tree. If you refer the security white paper PDF (link provided above), you will get a clear understanding about the security framework of AX 2009

    thanks

    Hi Arpan,

If you had created a new security key in the AOT, find the element ID of this security key in the properties. Then go to AOT > System documentation > Tables and find the table AccessRightsList. Open the table browser.

Create a new record. Fill the User and Domain fields with the value 'Admin'.  recordType needs to get the value 'SecurityKey'. The Id field will be filled with the element ID lookup up in the properties. Then set the value of the fields AccessType and AccessTypeFKeyUse to 'Delete'. Repeat this for each security key which is missing in the access rights for the Admin user.
