Hi All,

I have a requirement to Upgrade one of my PCF control Libraries version and for that I am doing it through the command prompt, that I am successfully able to update but while pushing my code to CRM then I am running the "pac pcf push" command and I am getting the error during this .

1.) "Error: Missing required tool: MSBuild.exe/dotnet.exe. Please add MSBuild.exe/dotnet.exe in Path environment variable or use 'Developer Command Prompt for VS'.
Push Failed"

2.) error MSB3073: The command "npm run build -- --noColor --buildMode development --outDir "c:\Users\name\source\repos\Dynamics 365 CRM4\project\PCF\Controls\RichTextEditor\out\controls" --buildSource MSBuild" exited with code 1. [c:\Users\name\source\repos\Dynamics 365 CRM4\Project\PCF\Controls\RichTextEditor\RichTextEditor.pcfproj]

Please provide your feedback.

    MSBuild.exe/dotnet.exe Not Found:
    • Ensure that MSBuild.exe and dotnet.exe are installed on your machine.
    • Add the directory containing MSBuild.exe and dotnet.exe to your PATH environment variable. You can do this by:
    1. Right-clicking on "This PC" or "Computer" and selecting "Properties".
    2. Clicking on "Advanced system settings" and then "Environment Variables".
    3. Finding the "Path" variable in the "System variables" section and clicking "Edit".
    4. Adding the paths to MSBuild.exe and dotnet.exe (e.g., C:\Program Files\dotnet\ and C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2019\Community\MSBuild\Current\Bin\) .
npm run build Exited with Code 1:

This error often indicates an issue with the build process. Here are some steps to troubleshoot:
    • Check Logs: Review the detailed logs to identify the specific cause of the error.
    • Dependencies: Ensure all dependencies are installed correctly by running npm install before the build command.
    • Environment Variables: Verify that all necessary environment variables are set correctly.
    • Permissions: Ensure you have the necessary permissions to execute the build commands
By addressing these issues, you should be able to resolve the errors and successfully push your code to CRM.
I hope this helps! If you need further assistance, feel free to ask. 😊
