Hello,
I am struggling to find some documentation or video tutorials etc. that explains how the access permissions for the "Timeline" work (example: for Contact entity).
I would really appreciate if you could share any useful resources on this.

Hi Kass,
Timeline is a control and not an entity so you dont have privileges for timeline itself. However the entity which are showed inside timeline - be it task or post - all those can be controlled using dynamics security model.
The concept is covered in official doc and is in quite detail.

Hi Kastriot,
Timeline is a control, it does not support privileges management. As long as there is a Timeline on a form, all users who visit the form can see the Timeline.
However, the records in the Timeline that the user sees are displayed according to the user's security roles. This means each user will see a different set of information when viewing the same timeline.
In short, we can control the access permissions of different users to the records in Timeline through security roles, but we cannot prevent some users from seeing the Timeline control.
