Matching strategy for Contact with multiple emails

Hello community,

My client has an event registration form that matches contacts if the email address is the same. The problem is that some cantacs use multiple emails and sometimes sign up with one and other times with their other email. This creates a new contact but my client would like to have all event registrations under the same contact. Is there any way to make a form matching strategy that checks if the email they enter matches one of the emails on the contact?

Thank you!
I have the same question (0)

    Hi Partner,
You need create one new form matching and add all email fields of the contact,
In Marketing app, go to Settings > Lead management > Form matching to view, add new.
    --New form matching attributes:

    Hi Leah,

Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my question. I am afraid this does not answer my question though. If I make the matching strategy liike you suggest the system checks if both emails match. But sometimes contacts only have one email and other times they have two. I would like the system to check if the email address they entered matches either email1 og email2 on the contact.
I hope you understand my question and can help me further.
    Thank you!

    Hi Partner,
I now understand that you want the ‘or’ relationship to compare multiple email fields, but what the form matching feature can do is ‘and’ relationship.
But we can't use the Matching strategy to get there, that's by design.
Perhaps you could consider using power automate to automatically delete newly created contact records if a contact with the same email exists, and associate event registrations to the original contact.
I hope you can mark my answer verified if it is helpful! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
    Regards,
    Leah
