Maybe adding more information about your request would increase your chance to get an answer...

    Thanks Martin,

I am trying to replicate one Legal entity to another Legal entity in AX 7. So basically, I would like to copy the general legers, chart of accounts, customer, vendors and related parameter tables.

You can use data management to export and import data entities. You'll find a plenty of information on the wiki, e.g. Data entities and packages framework.

If you have some problem with it, you'll have to tell us what it is.

In AX 2012, I remember the shared data will be overwritten when importing. And AX 7 from data model perspective, is quite similar to AX 2012. Not sure how AX 7 handle the shared data import.

Why would you copy shared data from one legal entity to another? If they're shared, they're already accessible to all legal entities.

Martin is correct in stating you should use Data Import and Export with use of the entities. Note that you can export master data, worksheet tables like purchase orders, sales orders, journals. But you cannot copy posted transactions with existing entities. The data entities provided are intended to copy/move master data and opening balances for migrations and e.g. journals for integrations.

This functionality is in the D365 roadmap ([View:https://roadmap.dynamics.com])

Of course, this does not gaurentee it will be released, but I certainly hope so, soon!

If you can wait, worth a look, otherwise, its as the other guys say..
