I am using AX R3 2012 and have recently began implementing MRP. I have tested creating purchase agreements and firming planned purchase orders against them. My issue is, I purposely went over the agreed amount to see how MRP would react, and noticed it stilled pull the Purchase agreement with price. I would have expected it to pull a price of $0.00 which would signal that a new purchase agreement is needed. I tested the same environment but this time changed the date past the expiration date and the purchase agreement was not pulled. Any ideas on setup issues on why the purchase agreement is pulled even when QTY has been fulfilled?
Hi SupplyChainSpecial,
What is the exact contents of the purchase agreement? Does the planned order have a reference to the agreement? If there is a reference to the agreement, but no line with the item was specified, it will fall back on the trade agreements.
So my understanding from watching videos, is the planned purchase order will look for a purchase agreement based on that item code and vendor. I assumed that if QTY had already been reached on the purchased agreement then the trade agreement would be pulled, but based on the price that is listed the purchased agreement is still used.
