So after the last upgrade from GP, my entries within the payroll batch have lost the check box for "In Addition to Salary".  How do I get that back?

    RE: Payroll Batch Issue

    In 18.4 we added the copy and paste from excel feature to this window and unfortunately it broke the Addition to Salary button. The good news is that you have 2 options for a workaround until we get this permanently fixed in the January hotfix.

    1. If you do not use the new Copy/Paste feature for payroll, you can change your user security to the PSTL version of the window, and the button still exists there.

    2. If you are using the new Copy/Paste Feature, then I have added a modified window that you can import into your system and assign security to resolve the issue as well. To import this window, you would have to go to (Microsoft Dynamics GP>Tools>Customize>Customization Maintenance) and click Import to import the file below:

    <Component Name="UPR_TRX_Standard_Entry" ProductId="0" Object="Form" >

    = Form "UPR_TRX_Standard_Entry"

    {

    Windows

    {

    = Window "UPR_TRX_Standard_Entry"

    {

    Fields

    {

    = ScrollingWindow "0279-uprTransactions"

    {

    Fields

    {

    = WindowControl "In Addition To Salary"

    {

    PositionLeft "448"

    PositionTop "152"

    }

    }

    LastTag "10000"

    }

    }

    LastTag "10000"

    }

    = Window "hrAttendanceInfo"

    {

    LastTag "10000"

    }

    = Window "uprAuditReportAsk"

    {

    LastTag "10000"

    }

    = Window "uprSalaryAdjust"

    {

    LastTag "10000"

    }

    = Window "uprTrxDefaultOptions"

    {

    LastTag "10000"

    }

    = Window "uprWindowOpenDialog"

    {

    LastTag "10000"

    }

    }

    }

    </Component>

    NOTE: if you already have a modified Payroll Transaction Entry window, make sure you export a copy before you import this new one.

    Once you decide which option you would like to use (1 or 2) you can set your security by using the following instructions:

    1. (Tools>>Setup>>System>>User Security)

    2. Select that user and company.

    3. Click on the underlined words ‘Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports ID’

    4. This takes you to a new window.  In this window, select the following:

    a. Product: All Products

    b. Type: Windows

    c. Series: Payroll

    d. Expand Payroll

    e. Expand ‘Payroll Transaction Entry’

    f. Now select either the new Modified window or the PSTL version of the window and you should now see your button for addition to salary again.

    Thank you,
