Access Desktop App

The user from another tenant needs access to our Dynamics 365 Guides. He has access with the Hololens 2, but in the Windows Dynamics 365 Guides Desktop app the environment doesn't show up, even if he logs out and logs in again. Did I miss something?

I have the same question (0)

Do any environments show up among the Windows Dynamics 365 Guides Desktop app?

Have you tried using a cellular hotspot network (aside from an office wired/WiFi network) to check, just in case that the firewall might be blocking the connection of the Guides Windows app?

For example, when I am behind a secure firewall, Guides Windows gives me an error: ("Oops, you don't have permissions to open this app.") likely due to the firewall blocking the connection. When I am at home or on a hotspot network this error disappears.

Yes, they see some environments (their own) but not ours. They were in the same network on the Hololens 2 and on the computer, so it should not be a network issue.

If they see their own environments but not yours, the Guides app is signed into their tenant and not yours.

Signing back in is the correct troubleshooting step,  because the user should see the Tenant selection right after clicking "Sign In", but before selecting the environment from the list.

If your tenant does not pop up during their user sign-in, check that the user is still a guest in your tenant and also assigned a Guides license, as well as that they are a user added to your environment, and that the environment assigns the Dynamics 365 Guides Operator (or Restricted Operator role, if you are restricting visibility of certain guides).

This is described in the docs from here I believe: learn.microsoft.com/.../admin-add-guest-user  Hope this helps!

Edit: The limitations section also states some issues with guests if they are using consumer email accounts
