    Hi Subhash,

You can download/view the setup log and try to find the error details. In most cases, the cause is mentioned in the log files.

    Subhash,

Did you find out the reason why this is happening.  I am trying to apply a custom deployable package to our UAT Update 12 environment via LCS and am getting the same error.  Did you figure out what was causing this?

    Thanks.

    Hello Andre,

Strangely, the error logs are not giving any info about an error or why the Step failed.  I had previously used LCS to apply code upgrades, deployable packages, data upgrade scripts.  And whenever it failed, the logs gave the exact error message.  But this time, it isn't.

    Also Andre,

This is the message about not showing error details:

    Hello All,

I retried the Step 5 through the command-line prompt instead of LCS.  (you can look at microsoft documentation on how to do it).

That gave me the error :  The running command stopped because the preference variable "ErrorActionPreference" or common parameter is set to Stop: Unable to resolve dependency 'dynamicsax-applicationfoundationformadaptor'.

Basically, in some of the models (custom models: ISV and CUS) included in my Deployable Package, we were referencing these Form Adaptor and Fleet Management pckages which are not present in UAT environments (which is the target environment where package is being attempted to install).

So I recreated the deployable package by fixing the models and am attempting another install of DP through LCS.

Let us see how it goes.
