I know this is an older thread, but the link you posted does not apply to Win10. There seems to be very little knowledge about how to re-enable the "ask before" checkbox on file saves in Win 10. Anything more up-to-date?? We are using NAV2017 and have the same issue as the OP.

We have found a better solution for this problem.

    Here is the solution :

    reset.jpg

and then click on Reset File Handling Decision.

    Hi again,

It's ok with the PersonalizationStore file. I delete it again, but after closing NAV.

    Now, it works.

Thank you so much for your help.

Hi, Thank you for your answer.

I tried to delete the PersonalizationStore file, but without success. When I log again in Navision, a new file appears, but the problem is always here.

Thank you for your answer. I am under Windows 7 Pro and there is no AttachmentExecute key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Shell \

I try to search AttachmentExecute key in all the regedit but without success.

Deleting object metadata will not work, try the solution listed in my above link.

    Thank you for your answer.

i have 4706 entries in the Object metadata. I'm not sure about deleting everything without breaking other things in NAV.
