Retail POS Multiple Printer Setup

Hello Everyone,

I'm totally new for the DAX Retail POS and I've one business like restaurant and it's using two printer, one for the cashier and one for the kitchen. I'm using the OPOS driver for the hardware attached to the system. But I want to print the receipt for the kitchen first to prepare the menu. At that time, cashier suspend the bill for a while. And then, once the customer paid for their bill, I will print the customer receipt bill. So, How can i assign the two type of receipt and how can I print specific.

Hi,

You will need POS customization to implement requested functionality. Customization will include a new button with special logic to print the receipt on kitchen printer before transaction suspend, and customer's receipt will be printed by standard functionality.

What the class I can modification, I did filter with the model group id.

for example for a receipt will show all standard items and to print to the Kitchen will appear items that have

the model group id example "CK".

I have tried to do in class formModulation in GetInfoFromSaleLineItem method.

Do you have an example?

Hi KNNH,

This cannot be achieved by standard functionality , so you need to do customization to achieve this.

Hallo Ravinder rana, I have problem about multiple print in Retail POS AX. i am use 2 priter, printer 1 for standart functional.printer 2 for kithen. so if customer buy in in the receipt for printer 1 all item show, and receipt for printer 2 just show item for kitchen.

Hi,

You can configure the hardware profile Printer 1 and Printer 2 with relevant Receipt profile. Make sure that Receipt profile you attach with Printer 2 has only Item information rather normal receipt.

Hi,

This needs a customization.

Simply you need to setup all your printers store wise i am not talking about only two or three it is as many you want.

then you need to assign item or category to their respective printers.

and a customization in POS to identify and print the specific items to specific printers.
