Dear All AX Experts,

I'm using Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2,

Please help me to solve this issue doing end year closing process,

When I'm run end year closing process, AX give an error message like i attached below:

"Total of the transactions in the year is not 0.00. Total is -0.03. This is a serious error. Run \"Check\" on ledger transactions"

1325.image002.jpg

 What i have tried :

1. I have run check and fix error using consistency check but there is no error,

2. I also have check using SQL database (table GeneralJournalAccountEntry, GeneralJournalEntry, and FocusDimensionBalances) but there is no difference from those tables.

Really appreciate for any ideas and suggestions,

Thanks Before,

Chris

    Hi Chris,

Have you tried increasing your cent rounding to e.g. 0.05 to overcome this issue?

    Best regards,

    Dear Ludwig,

Is it in General Ledger> Setup> Currencies Setup?

If I change it to e.g. 0.05 will it effect all posted vouchers in GeneralJournalAccountEntry table?

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

This change will not affect already posted transactions but only future transactions that are posted.

If you change the setup for a short while in a test environment you should be able to verify whether the rounding setup is responsible for the outcome you see.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Dear Ludwig,

Sorry after i update using database (Query to table GeneralJournalAccountEntry, GeneralJournalEntry, and FocusDimensionBalances) the error become "Total of the transactions in the year is not 0.00. Total is -4.86. This is a serious error. Run \"Check\" on ledger transactions" if i round it to 0.5 i think it still error because the unbalance amount is -4.86 but there is no unbalance amount in that 3 tables, are there another tables i've to check? or are there any suggestion to adjust this unbalance amount due to end year closing process?

    are there any suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Chris

    Hello Chris,

Have you tried doing the following - as described in the solution - which is in my opinion Independent of the R2 or R3 Version.

    - Uncheck the delete close-of-year transactions during transfer check box.

    - Check if an account has opening account in the main account setup and possibly remove it

    Dear Ludwig,

I have tried what you have suggested but the errors still exist,

I updated via sql query using table GeneralJournalAccountEntry and then i rerun year end closing and it solved my issue,

    Thanks,

    Chris
