New request ID when updating time-off request

Hi all

Our client has the following specific situation:

Leave requests will be sent via a external board computer
Leave requests will be interfaced to D365
Leave request with type "Planned leave" will be sent to the manager and HR for approval
After confirmation, HR will update the initial leave request (with leave type "Planned leave") to another leave type (e.g. Annual leave)

When there is an update, the system generate a new leave request WITH another request ID.

Does anyone have an idea how we can link the new leave request to the old request ID?

Hi LenCo_89,

There doesn't seem to be this feature in the standard, you can try to link the new leave request to the old request ID through code.

You can create a power app and use Power automate to achieve your requirement.
