Adding a button to a marketing email

Hello,

I have prepared a Customer Journey with an email announcement of a project, and include a marketing form (for project updates) to the email tile, so I can see the trigger of who subscribed to the form.

My question is, how do I use the Basic Element in the Toolbox to add a button to link the Marketing Form to.  At the moment I have it entered as a Marketing Page, with a hyperlink on the words to link to the form.

I would prefer it to be a button where the recipient can click anywhere on the button to go to the form.

Thanks,

Amanda

    Hi Amanda,

As per my understanding, we can also attach the link to Marketing Form/Marketing Page to a button via assist-edit tool.

Static content > Marketing page > the page where the form is embedded > FullPageUrl property

It is same to when we include a marketing form in marketing email by using Marketing Form element.

This is the bit where I think it is falling down.

'the page where the form is embedded'

I went into Static Content > Marketing page > Selected the registration form (a Landing Page created in Marketing forms) > Select relationship - No relationship (Select a field from MarketingPage) > FullPageUrl

Test email sent and the button doesn't work.

    I'm trying again with msdyncrm_full_page-url

    Hi Amanda,

Could you share a screenshot or more details that why it doesn't work?

In the test email, please open console(F12) and use inspector(ctrl + shift + c) to check whether the button element has been actually attached with a link.

thanks for your help Clofly, I found that the field for the Button link is pre-populated with a #.

removing the # and it works.
