Hi
I am doing campaigns and this shows in the subject, even if I write my subject. Always comes at the end.

Does anyone know how to take this off?

I saw this, but on my crm this option doesn't show up.
thank you

Can you send along what your email configuration options look like? That is definitely a tracking token and you should be able to disable through the email tab on the System Settings dialog if you are a System Admin.

    Thank you @Tom_Gioielli.
Indeed I asked now the system admin to change that. I can't.
I also realize that the font from the Dynamics fields is different than the one from the rest of the email.
Is it safe to assume that is also from the Settings or is another thing?

    Hello RM-09041227-0,

You are correct! The string "CRM:XXXXXXX" appended to the end of your email subject lines during campaigns is the Tracking Token feature in Dynamics 365. This token is designed to help Dynamics 365 automatically correlate email replies to the original sent email and track email conversations.

The instructions you found are the standard way to disable or configure the Tracking Token at the system level. The fact that you don't see the "Use tracking token" checkbox on your System Settings > Email tab indicates one of the following:

Possible Reasons Why You Don't See the "Use tracking token" Checkbox:

    1. You are using Dynamics 365 Online (SaaS): Microsoft has been moving towards Server-Side Synchronization as the preferred and often default method for email integration in Dynamics 365 Online. When using Server-Side Synchronization, the Tracking Token functionality is often handled differently or might be less prominent in the system settings.

    2. The Tracking Token Feature is Managed Differently in Your Online Version: In newer versions of Dynamics 365 Online, the Tracking Token settings might be configured at a different level or might not be directly exposed in the same way as in older on-premises versions.

    3. Your Email Integration Method: If you are using a different method for email integration besides Server-Side Synchronization (though this is less common for outbound marketing in Online), the Tracking Token settings might be irrelevant or configured elsewhere.

    4.

How to Remove the Tracking Token in Dynamics 365 Online:

If you are using Dynamics 365 Online, here's how you likely need to manage the Tracking Token:

    1. Navigate to Settings > Email Configuration > Email Tracking Settings.

    2. Look for a section related to "Tracking Token" or "Email Correlation." The exact layout might vary slightly depending on your specific version of Dynamics 365.

    3. You should find an option to disable or configure the Tracking Token here. It might be a checkbox labeled something like:

      • "Use tracking token in email subject for email sent from Dynamics 365"
      • "Include tracking token in sent emails"

    4. Uncheck this checkbox to disable the Tracking Token from being appended to your email subjects.

    5. Click "OK" or "Save" to apply the changes.

    6.

    Important Considerations:

    • System-Wide Setting: Disabling the Tracking Token is a system-wide setting. This will affect all outgoing emails tracked by Dynamics 365, not just those from your campaigns.
    • Impact on Email Tracking: Disabling the Tracking Token might impact the automatic tracking of replies to your sent emails. Dynamics 365 relies on this token to accurately match incoming replies to the original sent activity. If you disable it, you might need to rely more heavily on smart matching or manual tracking.
    • Server-Side Synchronization Benefits: Server-Side Synchronization often provides more robust and reliable email tracking and correlation without heavily relying on the subject line. Consider if Server-Side Synchronization is properly configured for your environment.

    •

If you are still on an older, potentially on-premises version and truly don't see the "Use tracking token" checkbox under System Settings > Email:

    • Double-check the exact navigation: Ensure you are in the correct area: Settings (gear icon) > Advanced Settings > Settings > Administration > System Settings > Email tab.
    • User Permissions: Verify that your user account has the necessary system administrator privileges to modify these settings.
    • Customizations: It's highly unlikely, but check if any customizations in your environment might be hiding or modifying this setting.

    •

In summary, if you are using Dynamics 365 Online, the Tracking Token settings are most likely located under Settings > Email Configuration > Email Tracking Settings, not directly on the System Settings > Email tab as in older versions. Look for an option to disable or exclude the tracking token from the email subject there. If you are on an older version and still can't find it, double-check your navigation and user permissions.

I've been seeing some weird behavior recently with merge fields and the formatting, both within the app and in Power Automate. I think I heard that MS is doing some backend updates to their rich text controls, so it may be related to that.
