Enabling the Data Enrichment Agent alone is not sufficient. The agent depends on Dynamics 365/Exchange integration and the underlying email data being available to Sales.
The first things to verify are:
- Server-side synchronization is enabled and working for the users/mailboxes involved. Check Power Platform Admin Center → Environment → Settings → Email → Server-side synchronization and verify there are no mailbox synchronization errors.
- Confirm the relevant users have an approved/active Exchange mailbox in Dynamics 365.
- Verify that emails are actually being tracked into Dynamics 365 and are visible on the opportunity timeline. If the email isn't available in Dataverse/Dynamics, the enrichment agent won't have anything to analyze.
- Check the Data Enrichment Agent configuration and prerequisites in Sales Hub/Copilot settings, including whether the feature is enabled for the correct environment and users.
- Test with an opportunity that has recent, clearly related email activity rather than relying on older threads.
- Check System Jobs / background operations and the agent-related activity for failures.
I would also not assume that the documented 4-hour interval means the enrichment will happen exactly four hours after enabling the feature. The agent runs asynchronously, and newly provisioned environments can take additional time for the required services/configuration to become available.
The most important diagnostic is this: if the relevant emails are not appearing/tracked correctly in the Dynamics 365 timeline, troubleshoot Exchange/server-side synchronization first. The Data Enrichment Agent cannot enrich an opportunity from email content that it cannot access.
If server-side synchronization is healthy, emails are correctly tracked against the opportunity, and the agent still produces no suggestions after the expected processing window, then this is more likely an agent/service provisioning issue and should be investigated through Microsoft support with the environment ID, opportunity IDs, mailbox/user details, and timestamps of the emails.
