Problem Printing Posted Services Invoices

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

When printing (PDF, paper or Word/Excel) a Posted Services Invoices I'm receiving a message : Rending output for the report failed and the following error occurred : An error has occurred during report processing.

I'm still able to access the invoices. I've run a debug, abd NAV tracks nothing.  We have 8 Go free on the server

I believe the invoice report is a custom report then, try to run standard invoice report and check if you get the same error.

Mainly rendering problems occurs due to resource issues or unavailability of the content.

    1. Try run this report from a different computer.

    2. Remove any image or logo available in the report and check.

    3. Recompile the report and check.

    Hi Donald,

It can be caused by logo in company information as Suresh and MMV mentioned.

You can try to export the logo for backing up, delete it and run report again.

    Hi,

Yes, as mentioned by Suresh, these kind of issues have been happening due to the resource issue.  So, you may either take out the logo from the Company Information or (if the log is used elsewhere in other reports, you can't take it off) remove the Image Control from the Sales Invoice report.

    Best Regards,

    MMV

No there is no limit, try removing the logo from the company information and try again or set no logo on the sales & receivables setup for log position, i understand you don't use it but code does retrieve and it takes memory. Just try setting no logo or deleting it.

There's no logo on the invoice. It's printed on a pre-formatted company paper. We are able to print all the invoices except one. It's a 50ish pages monthly invoices. We had no problem printing it in the past year, but this time we cannot. Even in Preview, it's not generating.

Is their a limit of pages permitted?

I think it is because of the logo, did use .bmp to import the logo?  if possible delete and re-import .bmp logo
