Ordering and Filtering data within Word Templates

Hi,

Using the Word Templates is it possible to order and filter data?

If not, what alternative solutions are there?

For example, we have a list of items that contain a data and we want the items to be displayed in a table ordered by date descending. Is this possible?

The filtering example, is that we have a list of items with a type against them, e.g. hardware, software and support. In our template we want 3 tables to display the items per type. How can we filter the data to achieve this?

Thanks

Tom

    Hi Tom2015,

Sorry, sorting and filtering of data in Word templates is currently not supported.

I recommend that you use Report or SSRS Reports to complete it.

You could refer to this article for Report, and this article for SSS Reports.

You could  save it as Word and download it locally, or print it directly.

    Hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Hi Tom2015,

Consider using a SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report instead of a Word Template for this task.
