Hi,
We have a requirement to export inspection response in word template or PDF with Work order information. I understand, there is an OOB functionality to export inspection response in PDF from Work order service task. However there is no option to export the responses from inspection entity directly.
Can you please advise if there is any option where we can export the response in PDF from inspection entity?
Thanks,
San
Hi Sanskrudha,
Unfortunately, you can't export the response in PDF from inspection entity directly.
Based on following document, you just can export one PDF with the blank inspection questions in inspection entity.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/field-service/inspections-advanced#export-inspection-as-blank-pdf
Inspection responses only can be exported as a PDF from the work order service task.

Hi San
Did you ever find a resolution to this?
Hi Matt,
I haven't find yet.
Working in the same sort of thing so I'll let you know if I get anywhere.
Hi
You can create a flow to trigger on completion of the Inspection and use the data to populate a word template (which you can convert into a PDF if you wish). As your inspection is linked to a Work Order Service task you can combine work Order Data with your Inspection results in your Template.
The inspection response data is in a field called msdyn_responsejsoncontent which you will need to decode and parse
Thanks John I’ll have a go and see how I get on.
I'm facing the same requirement. I need the responses from an inspection in a word template/pdf. Has anyone found a solution?
I'm facing the same issue I guess. I have a inspection report on my service task and I would like to send my customer a copy in PDF with our company logo and such.
While testing I got 2 possibilities.
1. The button on top marked "Export response" wich gives me an overview but I can't enrich it to make it more like our Company style (logo's etc)
2. I made the screen available to "Export to PDF" which could be the answer but I struggle with how to get the data on the report. Which tables (enteties) do I need to fill in the report simular to option 1.
Any ideas?
We solved this, but it required some effort. We started with this hint from the documentation (learn.microsoft.com/.../inspections-reporting) which uses flows that parse the data. We found that approach came up short because it lacked the ability to carry the question text with the answers, so we had to build additional flows and tables to combine all the questions and answers into a single table. Then you can use flow to merge into a Word document, or use a 3rd party product like DocumentsCorePack.
