Connecting to a Restored Database in Dynamics 2016

Dear Experts,

I have restored a database and in order not to override the existing database, I renamed the database. Now I have a new database in SQL Management studio. How do i connect the client to this new database so it can be opened.

In the administration console, I see only the existing instance (DynamicsNAV90) and I guess I need to add the renamed instance (DynamicsNAV190).

So the question is what is the process to connect client to the renamed Dbase.

You need to either create new instance for new database or you can change in existing instance with new database

do you want to use both databases or only one?

if you want to use both then you need to create new servicetier.

or you can change the database name in existing instance and restart the service.
