I've set up some product attributes. I understand that these attributes are meant to add additional information to the product (SKU), but can these attributes be viewed in reports? Or what is the purpose of setting them up? It's not entirely clear to me.
As you may already know attributes are assigned through Product hierarchies. They are mainly used in the commerce module so that they can be used in the POS (Point of Sale) screens in store fronts.
