What would be the easiest way to call an SSRS report (custom invoice report) on user click on print button in Sales Transaction Inquiry windows in GP

We are at GP 2010 with no modifier license

Many thanks,

    Alaa,

GP Reports Viewer, endorsed by Victoria Yudin and Forms Printer are both 3rd party products that allow users to trigger SSRS reports as alternatives to standard GP reports.

You can call the custom SSRS reports from VSTools by registering a click event for SOP inquiry print button.

Please have a look on the below link for sample coding for click event.

    Hope this helps!!!

We use some VBA code written by our former DBA to introduce a link to the SSRS invoice and it work out great. We have several branches and depending on which branch you for for determines which invoice you pick on the print button.  We've had this function since GP 9 and are now on GP 2013 R2 and the only thing we've had to do is update the code to the new report server each time we migrate.

Thanks for the plug, Harry! :-)

Alaa, if you don't want to have to customize this yourself, our GP Reports Viewer (www.gpreportsviewer.com/GP-Reports-Viewer) can make replacing the Sales Order Processing Invoice (and other reports) very simple for the administrator and completely seamless for the users.

Thank you, But this solution requires modifier I guess? Am I wrong?

Thank you, I may consider this in the future but not in that particular scenario
