Job Queue Entries stuck in Waiting mode

Hi Everyone,

While working with business central version 26.4. We have noticed that the last Update from Microsoft to Version 26.4 seems to be causing the Job queue entries to slow down.

We had a similar issue in the sandbox and seem that it is working better after removing the "AI Bank Reconciliation Extension", which we cannot reinstall as it's not available on the app source.

Has anyone else faced the same issue since the upgrade to version 26.4, and any ideas on how to resolve it, without losing the AI functionalities.

I'm using SaaS not On-Prem. So reinstalling tier one extensions is not an option.

Thanks.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

When you say Job queue are in Waiting mode what is the exact status of the job queue. ?
If it says "On Hold with inactivity timeout" it means that it will auto start on next recurrence start time.
If it says "waiting" just check the overall number of Job queue running at the same time in the environment in all the companies.

As per Microsoft documentation currently you can run at max 5 scheduled tasks concurrently per user. So you may want to distribute the job queues between multiple users.

    Hi Dhiren,

Waiting mode means status = Waiting.

I'm only using 1 company, I've mentioned in the post that everything works fine once I remove the "AI Bank Reconciliation Extension" and I've tested this in the sandbox.

Also, all of these tasks are in a category. so only one would be in process at a time.

The current situation that I'm describing here is that, all jobs are stuck in waiting and well past their earliest start date.

    Thanks,
    Moiz.

Are you referring to a specific job or any job in the Job Queue Entry? You can uninstall Bank Rec. AI, and then you can reinstall it if needed from the BC DVD, which can be downloaded and uploaded from the folder.

Just to close this request. This was Microsoft issue, they had moved us to a low resource availability server.
