Capitalise a portion of projects cost to a fixed asset and expense the rest

Hi All
 
Does the project module have the capability to capitalise a portion of project's cost to a fixed asset and expense the rest. E.q. We have a project with a total cost of $1000 and when the Estimate(Revenue recognition) process is run $800 must go to the asset and $200 must go to the P&L ledger account.

    You can refer to this blog post: Revenue recognition for projects - RSM Technology (rsmus.com). It introduces about revenue recognition completed percentage. An example is also given to help you understand better. Or you can refer to this official document: Set up cost templates | Microsoft Learn. This article provides information about how to create and use cost templates in Project Operations.

    I do not think there is standard functionality around the elimination of project cost between FA and P&L. You can try to do it manually by specifying completion% or else you may need to consider customization.
