Dear Experts,

Recently i am facing the issue of Integration Failure since the GP is getting closed automatically.

Do we have any source or solution on this?

Thanks,

Praveen

RE: GP Application getting closed automatically during the Integration Manager Progressing

We are experiencing this in GP2010, but just for one user. When the Integration is initiated GP disappears, but is still running. When the integration is complete, the Integration Manager Progress window freezes. The Close button is visible, not grayed out, but will not respond to a mouse click. I open Task Manager, highlight the  line for Integration Manager and click switch to, with no result. Then I click 'End', and receive a message that the window is waiting for a a user response. Close anyway and login to GP which advises that the user is already logged in..... We verify that the integration batch exists, and it can be posted with no further issue. There ids a second user who can process Integration Batched with no problems. I am trying to determine what factors could be affecting one user but not the other. They have the same AD group assignments and GP Security profiles.

I would appreciate any suggestions as to what I can check next.

RE: GP Application getting closed automatically during the Integration Manager Progressing

I don't have any tools that remove inactive users since it is VM Server which is accessible for me alone...

however, i will reach out my IT Team if they have any other Tool.

But, i still have one more logic doubt, if there is such tool which removes inactive users, then i am using SA for GP login and IM is opened as Administrator, here for login into Server, i am using different Credential, so kindly suggest if this could be the issue.

If yes, then i will try Server login using SA credentials, and same for GP login and Execute IM.

RE: GP Application getting closed automatically during the Integration Manager Progressing

When I run IM from my Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 installation - GP window starts in the open state, but as sooon as I start IM it closes - so that is a normally expected event.  It does not 'minimize' to the tool bar - it appears for all to see that the application is closed - however, if you look at Task Manager - it is running.  When IM finishes correctly - the Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 window " normally returns "

If you are finding that the application is closing, my first question is do you have any tools set up to 'remove' inactive users?  Do you have any thing configured to 'close' applications that appear to be 'frozen'

If so, suspend them - or set a longer time out period.

Let us know if that helps at all.

    Bill,

I am facing in both ways, that is, 1. GP Application not displayed during Integration Manager running and 2. GP Application completely closed so Import process fails.

RE: GP Application getting closed automatically during the Integration Manager Progressing

Praveen, when you first open integration Manager, you have Microsoft Dynamics GP open in the company that you require the data integration to be with.

Are you telling us in this post that the Microsoft Dynamics GP 'window' closes or that the application is terminated.

The normal behavior for Integration Manager is to reduce the open GP application screen so that the user can not interfere with the process and so that while the integration is in process it does not have to open and render the data entry screen 1,000's of times - that would be very slow.  So the normal behavior is for that application window to be 'shut'.

You can see the application is still active if you look in the Task Manager, however, while Integration is running it is closed to your seeing it.  Once IM is done, the window should be re-displayed.

Is this what you are experiencing ?  Or are you stating that the application is 'QUITING' when you begin an Integration and therefore the IM has nowhere to do the data input.

If you can post the error message that would prove most helpful.  Remember to use 'rich formatting' and paste a Snip of the error.
