Cost and Profit Center Settings

Dear All,

I am facing one issue from my client. They needs each invoice select the own cost center. For example, one store having different cost or profit center. While makeing transaction the user should select the cost center. I couldn't find the solution. Please provide any solutions or possiblity available in AX 2012R2.

Expecting co-operation and assistance in this regard.

Hi,

Can you let us know the criteria that determine the cost center selection? Is it the shop, the customer, the item, etc that determines the selection of your financial dimension?

You can force users to select a certain cost center manually for each invoice, or you can assign a default cost center for certain entity in the system - e.g., shop, so the cost center would be assigned automatically to the invoice. Is that what you are looking for?

You can define the default dimensions at Site level.

If it is not suitable in your case, You can refer following link to define the Account Structure to have dimension mandatory, so that User need to select the same from the list.

Thanks for your prompt reply. The criteria is the user select the cost center while he entered the Invoice instead of default cost center.

There are some solution for this work:

- Create dimension for each purpose separately.

- define cost center and use it
