Hi,
we are running NAV 2017 Version 10.0.15140.0 and our biggest problem is the difference performance that our users have.
We have 110 Full concurrent User CAL. We have a mix of around 70 Terminal Server Clients and about 40 Clients on local Laptops. The Laptops are mostly the same configured machines (i5, 8GB RAM and SSD Drive) but show way different performances. For example, opening a project page takes for one user ~2 seconds and for another user up to 20 seconds. The same we have for the TS User, but not that big gap. Maybe 2 seconds to 10 seconds.
One thing we found out is that when we delete the personalizationstore.xml in the Path %AppData%\Microsoft\MicrosoftDynamicsNav folder for both (TS and local) the performance is much better. But one thing is that this trcik only works for a couple of days and secondly, all the personal setting of the users (Filter and Coloumns etc) will be deleted. On TS it will keep the performance high for a few days more.
So I know that the more pages you use and the more personal settings you have, the personalization file will be bigger, more than 1MB. Usually our files are between 400kb and 1MB but have same impact on the performance.
So, the question is what else will be saved in the personalizationstore.xml that have impact on the performance? Has anyone an idea? Or are in this file other information which are related to another config file or whatever what cause the performance problems?
Thx
Guido
