We have an ask from marketing with a bit of a data/tracking issue..
It seems like with the increase of email security systems out there we are getting a ton of false opens and false clicks in our emails.
Does anyone have a way to "detect" that an email is getting opened and clicked through via a security bot and not by the actual contact?
Thanks
Josh
Hi Joshua,
You could add a hidden button to body of marketing email, which is attached with link and the link will direct to a noindex honeypot page;
or adding a "DO NOT CLICK HERE" link in the email:
However, more actions are supposed to be taken at server side simultaneously to detect whether behavior is from bots instead of human, if you are concerned about email security bots, please submit your thought to Ideas forum.

Wrong kind of bots... Not web bots filling out forms... Email Security bots downloading images and "clicking" links in emails before the email gets to the recipients actual inbox.
Hi Josh,
You could add a captcha to your form to prevent bots.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/marketing/content-blocks-reference#captcha-elements
In addition to OOB captcha element, we can also add Google reCAPTCHA to our form.
