Dear All,

We were created Financial year 2015 and works well...But most of the reports are extracting through Cubes/BI. But when we checking the cubes it's not shows the 2015 and all the records are coming only till 31 Dec 14.

Is anyone can explain how can i fix this issue?...

Suresh Kumar

    Hi zuresh82,

At Sys Admin -> Setup -> BI -> Analysis Services -> Date dimensions, does anything look odd? Perhaps you've an End date set to 31 Dec 14.

    Hi Zuresh,

Have you processed the cubes after adding new financial year?

    Thanks,

    Baber.

    Dear Baber,

No...I just created the Financial year and change the end period under Administration---Set Up---BI---Date dimension.

Then i checked some reports with refreshing the pivot tables.

If any further steps required please advise me..

    Hi Suresh,

You have to process cubes and then refresh pivot tables changing only period in date dimension won't work. please try after processing cubes

    Hi Suresh,

Before you changed it to 2020, was that date set to the end of 2014?

I've never looked to see how that date actually affects the data in the cubes. Let assume we just need to Process the analysis services database to see the difference. If that doesn't work, we may need to re-deploy the solution, but we'll worry about that later.

To process the Analysis Services database, you can use SQL Server Management Studio. Connect to Server type 'Analysis Services' and enter the name of the server where your cubes live (or you can enter localhost if SSMS is running on this server).

Once connected, you can right-click on the OLAP database (might be called 'Dynamics AX Initial' or similar) and choose 'Process'.

    Hi Zuresh,

Try process the cubes. You can process the cubes from either SQL server management studio or from BI development studio.

Please verify and let me know if this resolves your issue.

    Thanks,

    Baber.

    Hello All,

I am facing the same issue which Suresh Had. I have followed all the steps which has been suggested on top. But still year 2016 is not coming in my Sales Cube.

Let me tell you what I have done.

First I went General ledger --> Setup --> Fiscal Calender --> New financial year. Created 2016 there.

Then I checked Sys Admin -> Setup -> BI -> Analysis Services -> Date dimensions, it is showing upto the year 2025.

Then I have processed all the cubes in Analysis Services.

But still 2016 is not appearing in sales cube.

Any other suggestions? Did I miss out something?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello,

I can see it is showing there as Unknown in sales cube. How to change that unknown to Calender 2016? The Unknown is showing in calender, month, date everywhere.

    Thanks,

    Dhanoop R.Warrier
