Migrate inactive user after cloud deployment

We have completed the migration from on-prem to cloud using fasttrack

We are over a year into using the cloud version and realised there are a number of views and entries owned by a user that does not exist in the cloud instance.

We want them gone as they are creating visual clutter for the users. We have tried a number of tools in XRMToolbox to no avail.

If we revive the old SQL on-prem CRM instance, if we revive the old user, is there a way to bring them into the online instance so that the user can have a password reset via AD and then be logged in and antiquated entries can be removed?

How would it be best to achieve this?
