Hello!

While testing out triangulation and ECB, we came aware that this was not the way it should be done. But it seems that will not be working.

Can anyone tell me if the way to get around this is to set up the denomination part to be used with a much later future date?

Thank in advance for you kind help here.

    Hi,
Currency triangulation refers to the process where the amounts from one national currency must be converted to another participating national currency by comparing it to another currency, such as the euro.
Only one currency can represent the triangulation currency. By default, the EUR currency is selected as the triangulation currency. You can change the triangulation currency, by first clearing the Reference currency for triangulation check box on the EUR record on the Currencies page. Then, you can select the Reference currency for triangulation for the desired currency.

Also, you can check out the old threads below, hope these work for you!

    Hi,

You mentioned: "testing out triangulation and ECB". Can you explain the business requirement and the process you are looking for? What is the abbreviation of ECB in this case? I do assume this is European Central Bank?

The ECB is for European Central Bank.

The triangulation seems not to be able to simply turn off, while getting this error message

I could not delete the denomination account either.

To get around this I set the date for the denomination currency to a much future date.

Is there any chance to get this undone? There may a test journal already posted.

I guess to solve this in a better way it is to make the triangulation in a separate Excel-sheet and then upload this to D365.

Is it intended to have the Swedish Kroner enabled for triangulation? This would mean that if there is a need to convert from USD to SEK (or vice versa), there is a fixed rate between EUR and SEK and a variable exchange rate between USD and EUR. It will then always convert
As I'm aware, Sweden has no short-term plans to adopt the Euro. In that case, it would be better to delete SEK as triangulation currency. Do you get errors when trying to delete SEK from the Demonination currencies form?
