Bank reconciliation matching correcting entries

Hello

I am still learning about the bank reconciliation in NAV and how to do it.

My question is that I have two entries on my bank account ledger entries side which are a journal that was done in error and it's opposite correcting entry. Effectively they cancel each other out so in my bank reconciliation I would ideally like to match them off against each other but it doesn't seem to be letting me.

We may also have the same situation on the bank statement lines side where a cheque bounces and gets represented on the same day - how do we deal with these?

This is a common occurrence we have so need an easy way to deal with it in the bank rec.

Thank you

Did you apply the ledger entries manually ?

Please check the below link for the process

I am trying to match them together manually.

Thank you for the links, they are very useful however they do not answer my question in relation to this issue.

Can't you reverse both the entries?

Just try entering a 0 value like to the bank  statement side and then match both the entries with that newly entered line. Hopefully you will be able to reconcile. (Haven't tested)
