    Which version?

You might look at the tools available from partners e.g. https://www.axpulse.com/2016/11/22/why-axpulse-security-tool-is-the-answer-to-all-your-ax-2012-security-concerns/

There is also a localised report you can try https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamicsax-2012/appuser-itpro/eeur-permission-changes-log-report AX 2012 R2 onwards, in the Estonia country localization: If you need more then use the code and class behind the report to customise as needed.

D365 has addressed some of these concerns by introducing an audit trail button on the security role  form  with  a time stamp, an event type, a User ID, an Object type and the name of the object.

Andre is right, there is no Audit trail as it is done for current version. DB Log is the way, but unfortunately, it is probably not possible to control by human.

The second option could be periodically exporting the data placed in Security tables, and then compering current version with previous one(s). I was doing that in the past when I wanted to compare 2 User groups. But this is not the ideal solution as well, because you will miss changes performed between exports.

To reach that you can think of the own human readable Audit trail that logs security data (for example using DBLog).

    Hi Bossa,

Out of the box, there is no support to have that information in AX 2009. You can consider setting up database logging to get the changes logged.
