Confirmed Sales Order not update physical stock

Hi

New to D365FO. Have processed a 2 Sales Orders and confirmed the sales orders but the system doesn't update the Physical stock. Any reason for this

    Hi,

    Do you refer to the sales orders with the negative quantities of -1?

    Those will update inventory once you post the packing slip.

    A simple confirmation is not sufficient for this.

    Hi Dean,

    Confirm SO doesnot update physical stock. The total available quantity will be updated when you add SO line.  The inventory reservation can update the available physical quantity.

    You can test it multiple times in your environment to see every change.

    Hi Dean,

    Sales order line only updates (OnOrder) quantity by default. If reserved, they will show under physical reserved. This is how system works. In your screenshot, you have 2 sales orders with 1 quantity, that's why you see total of 2 under OnOrder column in on-hand screen.
