Service item with inventory transactions

1) an service item under stocked item model group.
2) create a SO for this item 
3) invoice SO
 
i find that it has a entry under transaction and warehouse transaction in the inventory management with negative quantities
Please advise why service item has transaction in inventory. 
 
BTW, what is different in transaction and warehouse transaction?

    Hello,
     
    Transactions:
    Shows all transactions of this item when you have on the Purchase order, Sales order, manufacturing order etc.
     
    Warehouse transactions:
    Shows only warehouse transactions, i.e. when it was moved from one location to another, picked etc.
     
    I can only guess that your item model group for this item is setup up as stocked product, therefore it has inventory transactions.
    There are various blogs explaining how the item model group works.
     
    Here is one, that explains it quite well in my opinion:
     
    As you cant change the item model group on an item once you have transactions on it, you have to use a new item.
