Variants: Production Forecast at Variant Level.

Hi,

I am still exploring variants as a solution for our NAV implementation.

Is it possible to define a forecast at variant level. Our business uses high quality forecasting at SKU level but I only appear able to populate a forecast at Item level.

I've just been looking at the same thing, I can't believe Variants can't be forecast... do MS think if people buy an item they'll buy all variants in the same quantity?! makes variants useless if you want Production order or Forecasting!

Thanks, not the answer I had hoped for but this puts the use of variants to bed for our solution. So near and yet so far.

Hi,

Production Forecast currently available with only item and not available with Variant but if you want to extend it to variant then you need to some modification in existing functionality.
