SO set up to NOT allocate still displays warning symbol that requires answer to how to deal with shortage

Why would the warning symbol show up on a sales order that is set to NOT allocate? It is also not consistent, this only happens sometimes and even within the same order we have added the same item with the symbol and then the symbol does not show? The client is looking for an explanation even though they can proceed. Any thoughts on what would cause this behavior?

Thanks Tim, I agree and yes something could have crashed but not likely to get that out of the client.

Could the user have crashed out of those orders, leaving some defaulted values in the header?

I would class this as uneconomical to track down. Possibly set up a SQL alert to detect it happening and get them to re-enter those orders when it happens?

    Tim.

Looking closer at the SO with the issue the ALLOCBY column is set to 1 which indicates it should allocated by line, however the SOP Type is set up not to allocate at all. No other SO in the SOP10100 has the ALLOCBY column set to 1, so this is definitely anomaly checked history and for this docid it happened 3 other times, what could cause this? Is there something a user could do to switch it after the SO has been created or before it is saved for the first time?
