ALL AIF services fail to activate

We recently uninstalled the AOS and related components on a development machine and then re-installed.  Now, none off the AIF services will start:

System.OperationCanceledException: AIF service group not activated. Service group: UserSessionService. Error: A TCP error (10013: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions) occurred while listening on IP Endpoint=0.0.0.0:32101. ---> System.ServiceModel.CommunicationException: A TCP error (10013: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions) occurred while listening on IP Endpoint=0.0.0.0:32101. ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: An attempt was made to access a socket in a way forbidden by its access permissions

I have tried rebooting the machine, deleting the XPPIL folder contents and restarting the AOS.  Nothing seems to help.

I'm certain it has to do with the uninstall / reinstall of the AOS.  Just can't figure out how to fix it.

    Matt,

You were correct.  It was the services endpoint port that was incorrectly specified as the same port as WSDL.  Once I changed that port to the correct one, it was all good.  Thanks!

    1 AOS per machine.

    WSDL port is 32101.

I used the 'netstat -aon | more' command and can see that the 32101 port is only attached to the AOS service.  Nothing else.

Cool, port 32101 makes sense now. if ALL of your AX AOS machines use that port, I hope you don't have two AOS services on the same machine :)

So,  is 32101 the WSDL port ? Did you change the services endpoint port ? (default is 8201).

Based on the error message, it really seems that the AOS is trying to listen on a port that is already being used by another service.

Change the WSDL and services endpoint port to see if it will start (just as a troubleshooting step)

32101 is a port we designated.  ALL of our AX AOS machines use that port.  This particular machine also used this port before uninstall.

Ports look good. Doesn't appear to be any issue there.

0.0.0.0 means all IPv4 addresses on the local machine

Can you check if you have another service listening on port 32101 ?

I have no clue why it is trying to listening on port 32101 but that is where I would start troubleshooting.

I was just looking at my own question and the IP 0.0.0.0 seems like it should be an actual IP address... Could be wrong thought.
